Edinburgh: T. Nelson and Sons, 1872. Book. Very Good. Hardcover. First Edition. 8vo. A scarce papier mache binding. pp xlviii; 576. A very good copy, quarter bound in brown morocco with thick papier mache bevelled boards, with a high gloss polished wood effect finish, fern image possibly using photogenic process on the front and rear boards. All edges gilt. Engraved half title page with vignette, other engraved plates within text. Blue silk bands to front and rear hinges, small inscription dated 1875 to the top of the front free endpaper, very good, a few specks of foxing to first and last couple of pages, text clean. A very good copy in an interesting and collectable binding..
