This book describes the history and construction of Herbert Dow's family home and gardens in Midland, Michigan from the first land purchase in 1891 to the present time where the multi-acre site is a beautiful community asset with expansive gardens. Contains an index and source notes in the rear. Illustrated with plans, photos, drawings. There is some light cover wear, else this is a nice clean, tight and unmarked book with no interior or exterior markings, no previous owner names and no bookplates. ; Color & B&W Photos & Illustrations; 4to 11" - 13" tall; 118 pages .
