The Phantom Detective: MURDER MONEY.

My listing includes PHOTO OF ACTUAL BOOK for sale. Book Interior NEAR FINE/ Covers Very Good to Near Fine. This is the first of the new cover layout with The Phantom Detective and By Robert Wallace smaller and in the upper left corner and the book title in red in blank upper right corner, also the first of new, better, glue and less coarse grade of interior paper. Covers are grass green/white, lettering black/red/yellow, grass green back cover, colour pictorial front. Covers and spine are flat, clean, bright, no rips, one horizontal crease in top outer corner 2 1/2 inches across top of back cover and 3/8 inch down side of back cover narrowing to 1/8 inch at end of crease which is 1 3/4 inches from the back top inner corner, no visible spine creases on either side of spine or on spine, covers and spine have very miniscule edge wear, white cover is a tiny bit age darkened on edges, front cover has a thin scratch mark 3/8 inch long but did not break surface of paper, front cover has a tape shadow on lower left corner 1/2 x 1 5/8 inches and when tape was removed many years ago it pulled the surface gloss and colour off in size 3/4 x 1/2 inch with a 1/4 x 1/8 inch branch and paper is still in place but is visibly yellowed from the tape, white colour of spine is slightly darker than original, spine has no rips or chips but has a 1/32 x 3/8 inch line of light brown where the tape that was on the front cover touched the side edge of the spine, back cover has aforementioned crease at corner and a few whitish dots where colour was rubbed by adjacent book on shelf, otherwise it is bright clean and unmarked. Page edges slightly sunned. Inner end papers are white with some tanning near spine and edges but much less than books 1-14 that had the other paper. Inside of book is tight, clean, clear, bright, flat. Pages 155 to 159 (three pages) have a very small slight bruise to top edge caused by whatever bump caused the crease in back cover corner. Almost negligible age darkening on edges of some pages. No dog ears that I saw with careful examination. Spine is square 90 degree angle top and bottom but has a very slight inward curve that can be felt but not seen. If this book was read at all, it was treated very gently, this book looks very close to new. A Regency Suspense Novel. When I read this series of books in my teens I couldn’t put the books down they were so riveting. Even the cover gave me chills.
