(West Yorkshire): The British Library, (1994). First edition. Number 16 of only 50 numbered copies SIGNED by Patrick O'Brian. Handsomely bound in three-quarter leather, with marbled endpapers and all edges gilt. Includes an autobiographical piece, four poems and two stories by O'Brian. Illustrated with a color frontis photograph and six black-and-white photographs of O'Brian, a profile of the H.M.S. Surprise and various black-and-white decorations.According to Arthur Cunningham the edition was produced in five different toned half-calf bindings, each with different endpapers - 10 each. 20 copies were given to the contributors and others and only 30 copies were offered for sale. Fine in slipcase. SIGNED BY O'BRIAN
