An exceptional first edition, first impression copy of Henry Williamson's final novel in his touching series following the life of the ex-soldier Willie Maddison, in the original unclipped dustwrapper. The first edition, first impression of this work. In the original publisher's unclipped dustwrapper. The final novel in 'The Flax of Dream' series, a tetralogy following the life of Willie Maddison. 'The Pathway' is a survivor of the First World War, who became revolted with his previous ideals after the war. Written by Henry Williamson, an English novelist who won the Hawthornden Prize for literature in 1928 for 'Tarka the Otter'. In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, smart, with just a small amount of bumping to the head and tail of the spine. A few spots to the fore edge. Bookseller's label to the front pastedown. Dustwrapper is lightly discoloured, with minor marks and light edge wear to the head and tail of the spine. A couple of light marks to the reverse of the dustwrapper.Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Fine
