London: Croome & Co., 12, St. Bride Street Ludgate Circus EC. No Edition Stated . Hardcover. Good/No Jacket. 7 1/4" X 4 3/4 . Preface dated December 1839. Book features red boards, black decorations including leaves and flowers, gilt title block with title in red, author in black. Spine has title and author in gilt blocks with text in red, decorative black flowers and leaves, 2/6 (price?) at base of spine. Single centred black decoration on rear board. 472 pp., small print, front pastedown and ffep have letters WMC 196 in immature script. Verso ffep has heraldic(?) crest in red and blue in what could be watercolours. Rear pastedown has crossed out, purple stamp and address of R.W. Dale, Draper & Stationer. Both hinges are gauze only, as is the text block at pp.280-281. Digital pictures available on request. Bookseller's Inventory # 091134.
