About This Item

Boston: Little Brown & Co., 1924. First Edition, First Printing. . Hardcover. Good Plus/No Jacket. One of the more than 150 novels in most of the popular genres published by this bestselling author of the early 20th century. This one is the story of three young people --two boys and a girl -- eager to leave their rural community and find success in London, one as an actress, one as a writer and one as whatever it takes to become rich. Red cloth-covered boards' corners and spine ends bumped and worn; color faded on spine; previous owner's name on inside front cover, "1927" and "Buffalo" on front pastedown along with a library marking (book's only ex libris indication). Text shows soiling, very minor dampstaining on edges. Binding is tight, text is complete. Sorry, no dustjacket. A decent reading/study copy.
