About This Item
Iowa City, IA: The State Historical Society of Iowa, 1969. Staple-bound Softcover. Very Good. Crisp, clean pages; no owners' marks; saddle staples show light rust but remain secure; cover shows surface scuffing front and back and a small, very pale cup ring below a little droplet mark on the front, otherwise sound. 64pp., illustrated; Part One of the Iowa Inventors and Inventions special by Homer L. and Corrine Calkin. Diagrams! Mostly looms, washing and sewing machines, grain drills and threshers, wrenches... but also full-body life preservers. No joke. 1872.
