London: The Studio of Design & Illustration. Hardcover. Fair. Oblong 8vo 8" to 9" tall. Harry Furniss. Harry Furniss is the illustrator of this fine travelogue comprised mostly of sketches he made of the experiences he had during a voyage he took on steamer to India from bonny England. Interestingly, though unpaginated, every other page is a sketch of "upstairs" and "downstairs" at each stop along the way. Bound in original publisher's green cloth in oblong format and with gilt embossing of lettering and illustration, also with a red, white and blue navigator's flag. Rubbing to joints, scuffing to spine head and foot. Detached first free endpaper, which features a gift inscription. Rubbing to, scuffing to edges. Else and withal, a serviceable copy of a lovely set of sketches.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards. Additional postage may be required for oversize or especially heavy volumes, and for sets.
