About This Item
N.p.: N.p., 1910. Vintage photograph of silent film actress Helen Eddy from an unknown film, circa 1910s.
Eddy was born in New York but was raised in Los Angeles, attending Manual Arts High School. She began acting in films in 1915 through the studio of Siegmund Lubin, eventually signing a contract with Paramount Pictures. She frequently played gentle heroines, appearing in a number of films through 1947-most notably "The March Hare" (1921), "Camille" (1926), "Quality Street" (1927) "The Divine Lady" (1929), and the first "Our Gang" sound film, "Small Talk" (1929). She retired from film in the 1950s.
10 x 8 inches. Very Good plus, with light wear on the edges and an ink annotation in the recto margin.
