This book is limited to 249 copies. The script face and Chinese characters were hand lettered. Book in near mint unopened and unread condition. Spine is very slightly faded. Slipcase is sound and worn.

This book is in Very Good+ condition and was issued without a dust jacket, but was issued with a slipcase. The slipcase for this copy is lacking. There is some beginning fading to the spine of the book. The text pages are clean and bright. Laid-in is a photograph of the "Last Two Eunuchs", (photo taken by Starrett). Photograph has been signed by Starrett on the reverse. There is a previous owner's bookplate on the front pastedown page.
