New York: Charles Scribner's S, 1994. First Edition. Fine in 1/4 white cloth and purple paper covered boards with blue text stamped on the spine. An octavo of 9 1/8 by 6 1/8 inches with spots of foxing to the top edge of the text block. In a fine, unclipped dust jacket. The author's first book of mystery. Previously she had been an author of pulp romances. Only 17,000 copies of this printing were produced. 290 pages of text. This title won the 1995 Dilys Award. A very clean, tight and bright copy with no prior ownership markings of any kind.
Synopsis
One for the Money is the first book in the Stephanie Plum by Janet Evanovich. Stephanie Plum is a former lingerie buyer turned bounty hunter whose first job is to bring in her ex-boyfriend Joe Morelli, a police detective wanted for murder. Published in 1994, and the movie rights sold for $1million just prior to the books release.
