First edition in English; 8vo; internally fine; publisher's green cloth, gilt lettering to spine and upper cover, green endpapers, spine ends slightly bumped, with the unclipped first issue dustjacket, some rubbing to extremities, a couple of short closed tears to top edge of rear panel, else very good.

Synopsis
One Hundred Years of Solitude is a novel authored by Colombian Nobel laureate Gabriel García Márquez. It was first published in Spanish in 1967. The book was an instant success worldwide and was translated into over 27 languages. Lauded critically, it is the major work of the Latin American "boom" in literature. It was also an immense commercial success, becoming the best-selling book in Spanish in modern history, after Don Quixote.
