Hardcover with paper slipcase. 4to (12" x 8.25"), grey-tan cloth with gilt-ornamental cover and author-title gilt on red cloth on spine. lix, 286 pp. some color illus., mostly b&w illus. Previous owner initials inscribed in pencil on ffep. CONDITION: Fine, minimal wear to extremities of slipcase but book like new. First edition, first printing. One of 1500 copies. Collects, for the first time, the history and publications of the Officina Bodoni.
