Paris: Librarie Hachette et Cie. Fair with no dust jacket. 1886. Hardcover. 2 Volume set. French Language. Vol 1: clxiv, 435pp + 21 unnumbered pages. Book has brown leather spine and red marbled paper covers with gold lettering and raised bands on the spine. Book has "Univ. of Toronto Library" in gold lettering on the front cover in the bottom left corner. Book has wear to head, tail, edges of the spine, edges and corners. Paper on back cover has been torn off along a strip of the bottom of the board. Hinges slightly loose. Minor evidence of water damage to the bottom right corners of pages up until page CLX. Text is otherwise clear. Edges of the textblock are slightly browned. Ex-library with pocket in the back. Vol 2: 610pp + 16 unnumbered pages. Published 1895. Appendix. Book has red leather along spine and red marbled paper covers with gold text and raised bands along the spine. Book has minor wear to covers, head, tail, edges, edges of the spine and corners. Hinges are slightly loose. Text is clear and unmarked. Textblock is slightly browned.
