About This Item
Boston: Little, Brown and Companuy, 1938. Hardcover. Very Good/Fair. Early printing; green cloth with silver stamped decoration and titles, 8vo, 313 pages. Bit of wear at fading at extremities, vertical crease to spine cloth, previous owner's name inked at top of front endpaper, otherwise internally clean and sound with old booksellers label from Paul Elder in rear endpaper; tattered dust jacket with chips out at spine ends, sunned spine, now in protective mylar cover. Margery Sharp's seventh novel centers around a madcap heroine and her unconventional approach to motherhood. Was adapted into the film "Julia Misbehaves," starring Greer Garson and Walter Pidgeon.
