* Book Chronicles some of the African styles which it become very popular even these days....Faris worked with the Nuba people in Sudan from 1966-1969 and again in the 1970s. His materials document their body art and cultural practices before the Nuba were converted to Islam in the 1980s. Over 800 photographic slides record their agriculture, rituals, dance, and personal art in addition to Faris' extensive field notes....... Large hardcover book in good condition. Black cloth covered boards with gold titling on spine. Covers are good but have minor surface wear marks on front and back, minor white speckling on upper, lower cover edges. Clipped dust jacket is in acceptable condition, it has surface wear marks as well as corners and edges. Pages are very good, clean unmarked. Book is full of b&w photos, illustrations plus a few in full color........
