About This Item

Toronto, Ontario, Canada: Lester & Orpen Dennys, 1982. Presumed first edition/first printing. Hardcover. Very good in very good dust jacket. DJ has slight wear and soiling, with small edge wear.. xiii, 336 p., [8] p. of plates 24 cm. Illustrations, Plates. Note on Sources. Notes. Index. None is Too Many is a rigorously documented. research account of a shameful period in Canadian history when the country continually ducked chance after chance to save European Jewry from Nazi genocide. The authors used masses of hitherto unavailable source material to trace the origins of Canada's immigration policies towards Jews in the 1930s and 40s. Out of the millions of Jews during that time period who were seeking a place of refuge Canada admitted a paltry 5000.
