Black cloth over spine with gilt titles, red boards, clean, with small discoloration on lower edge; lower edges rubbed; back side has a spot and a discoloration to fore edge; binding tight and solid, with intact endbands. Faint spotting to fore edge of text block. Internals clean, no creasing, no underlining or highlighting. illustrated endpapers. The defects noted are relatively minor. This is a good, solid, clean volume by this eminent journalist, newspaperman, and radio correspondent. 654pages with index. 9.5 x6.25 inches. 1984, Little, Brown and Company, Boston and Toronto
