Thick quarto; full contemporary triple-ruled sheep, unadorned spine in five compartments, all edges speckled red, retaining original endpapers as well as a wastepaper front free endpaper; [4],1011,[61]pp.; engraved title page vignette and head- and tail-pieces, text printed in double columns. Leather somewhat edge worn with some exposure of boards, rear cover has a few surface scratches, this copy unfortunately bound without the 28pp. introductory index, else an About Very Good copy in a compellingly crude contemporary binding. This edition published in the same year that Caussin, a French Jesuit, held the post of confessor to Louis XIII.
