Chip at lower right corner of front wrapper, with hint of inoffensive dampstain along lower 1" here and there throughout. Decent copy (Vol. XIX, No. 28) of the famed weekly begun in 1925. Delightful front wrapper art depicts two farm couples in overalls reclining with drinks alongside their hobby crops, with uniformed maid serving drinks and oeur d'oeuvres and in-ground pool in background.

Lacks rear wrapper and first inner leaf a bit rumpled. Attractive copy (Volume XIX, Number 9) of the famed weekly begun in 1925. Front wrapper art by Will Cotton shows an elderly Navy officer in uniform and colleague leaving a swank soiree, glancing angrily at the derby hat being offered him by a maid at the coat check. Contributors include Alfred Hayes ("The Doctor's Here Now"), A.J. Liebling ("A Reporter at Large") and Grace Flandrau ("All the Modern Conveniences"). Cartoons featured include examples by Garrett Price, George Price, Peter Arno, William Steig and Helen Hokinson.

Quite bold and bright and entirely free of edge tears. Tight and attractive copy (Volume XV, Number 52) of the famed weekly begun in 1925. Superb front wrapper art by the Russian-born American illustrator Constantin Alajalov (1900-87), the only artist to paint covers for both "The New Yorker" and "The Saturday Evening Post," best remembered for his famed cubist-style watercolor front covers. Scene here depicts the packed lobby of a theater, the foreground crammed with smiling social elite and overflowing staircase in background trying to squeeze in. An exceptional condition copy with killer graphics.

Front wrapper art by Rea Irvin (1881-1972), illustrator who created the iconic Eustace Tilley portrait for the magazine's 21 February 1925 debut issue, depicts a Margaret Dumont-type society woman standing and singing in church, the little girl in the pew in front of her turned around to face her and watch.
