Hardcover. 4to. 28.5cm, vii,168p., with 103 facsimile plates (25 colour), in the original elaborately blind stamped light green cloth, gilt spine and cover titles, bevelled edges, t.e.g., some occasional slight foxing, a near fine copy (bks). ~ A well-illustrated study of the revival of the art of French book decoration in the early 20th century. Eighty artists are represented including Frank Brangwyn, George Barbier, Paul Hermann, Alfred Latour, Steinlen and Carlegle.
