London: Hutchinson & Co., 1907. xx,410pp., including illustrations, plus two folding maps. Quarto. Brown publisher's cloth, gilt stamped. Boards rather scuffed, corners and spine worn. Front hinge cracked, rear hinge starting. Text block split, but holding. Light tanning, otherwise internally clean. Good plus. "Contains an account of the Roosevelt's passage to Cape Sheriden, Ellesmere Island; the march on the ice of the Arctic Basin to 87°06' N. and return via the northwest coast of Greenland; a sledge journey along the northern coast of Ellesmere Island (Grant Land), and the return of the ship through Robeson Channel - Smith Sound" - Arctic Bibliography. Peary's penultimate expedition, which established another furthest northern point explored. The work also includes a history of the Peary Arctic Club, a description of its vessel, the S.S. Roosevelt, an account of polar Eskimo tribes, and a report on a previous expedition towards the North Pole undertaken from 1898 to 1902.
