New York: Monson Bancroft, 1835. 3/4 Leather. Good. 26.5 x 18 cm. Royal octavos. Bound in 3/4 black leather, grey boards. Volumes 1 and 2 only of an eventually 4 volume series. Steel engraved portraits with short biographies of famous Americans. Gilt foredges. Hinges are heavily rubbed. Scattered foxing. Spine lettering faded.
