Boston: Houghton Mifflin, 1928. First American edition. Hardcover. Very Good. 5 x 7 1/2 in. 304 pp. Blue cloth boards with red titles on cover and spine. First US edition of the author's second book, published in England as "So Disdained" also in 1928. Condition is VERY GOOD ; corners and spine ends bumped and worn, upper front corner very worn and rounded. Some faint stains to the covers. Binding tight and hinges very solid. Text bright and unmarked. Small bookseller's plate from Chas. E. Lauriet of Boston, on the ffep. Fiction. RGR.
