From the rear cover: "... a valuable contribution to the Odawa Indian heritage from the years 1768 when Jean-Baptiste Assiginack was born to 1990 when his great great granddaughter died. Odawa Chief Assiginack was a contemporary of Frederic Baraga, catholic missionary priest & missionary to the Great Lakes region." Contains poetry by Lambert as well as an historical essay on Chief Assiginack by the editor. This is a nice clean, tight and unmarked book with no interior or exterior markings. This book appears to have been unread. ; B&W Illustrations; 8vo, 8"- 9" tall; 72 pages .
