London, T.C. & E.C. Jack, 1915 Hardcover book , first edition - no dustjacket. Edward Augustus Bowles was a British horticulturalist, plantsman and garden writer. He developed an important garden at Myddelton House near Enfield, Middlesex , He was known as 'The Crocus King and his name has been preserved in many varieties of plant . He was the Great Uncle of Andrew Parker-Bowles , Queen Camilla's ex husband. His Father was involved with The New River Company bringing a fresh water supply to central London through Hertfordshire. Complete with the 16 colour plates and all monocrome plates. The book is in Very Good condition but is worn around the edges with some rubbing to corners. Previous owners name to front end-paper C.Stern from F.c.S.? . pages are , lightly foxed. A Very Good copy . The two companion volumes My Garden in Summer and My Garden in Spring (Signed by the author) are also available from David Ford Books. Pictures available.
