"This landmark publication written by photographic art and book collector, Mus White, details over 1400 books in the field of American and international juvenile literature illustrated with original photographs or related photo-mechanical processes. Establishing a critical link between photography and children's books, the bibliography also locates important and rare examples of fine art photography in the pictorialist, surrealist, and modernist genre." Prospectus laid in. Small quarto: xlii, 268 p. with 50 illustrations. Designed and printed letterpress by Patrick Reagh. Full blue cloth binding, with gilt titles. A fine copy, housed in the publisher's slipcase.
