About This Item

London:: Issued from the Offices of 'The Playbox', Fleetway House / The Amalgamated Press Ltd,, 1935.. Hardcover. Very Good. 104pp, busy with things happening, richly illustrated, mostly in monochrome, with frontis and a few other pages in colour. Most pages rather card-like and browning at edges. 'Belongs to' window on front free endpaper neatly filled in with an adult gift inscription and dated 1935. A carefully-kept book, all pages unmarked and clean. Quarto, in the original pictorial boards with green cloth spine. Lower board advertises mincemeat, and has a little wear to the corners, spine is faded and a little rubbed, and the front, showing animals scoffing food accidentally tipped down stairs, is bright, with a little scuffing to edges. A nice copy of this annual, from an uncommon year!

About Chapel Books

I sell books from a large disused Chapel next to the village duck pond, where I have lived about 40 years: just inland from Dunwich and between Southwold and Aldeburgh. I open 7 days a week, 12-5.
