(24713). Octavo, jacket illustration by Hawkins, original gray cloth, front and spine stamped in green, fore edge uncut, bottom edge rough cut, top edge stained yellow. A novel of a young man's journey through life and love during the Depression and carrying through WW II and after. Cain considered this one of his best novels. Hubin, p. 125.
