In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original price-clipped dustwrapper. Externally, near fine, with faint fading to the front board. A couple of minor spots to the fore edge. Prior owner's ink inscription to the recto to the front endpaper. Dustwrapper with original scarce Booker Prize sticker to the front wrap. Small chip to the head of the front wrap, and small mark to the rear wrap. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with a couple of faint spots. Near Fine
Synopsis
Moon Tiger is a 1987 novel by Penelope Lively which spans the time before, during and after World War II. The novel won the 1987 Booker Prize. It is written from multiple points of view and moves backward and forward through time in ways which can be difficult to follow. It begins as the story of a woman who, on her deathbed, decides to write a history of the world, and develops into a story of love, incest and the desire to be recognized as an independent free thinking woman of the time.
