Red hardcover without dust jacket, third (1940) printing, viii + 485 pages; very gently used, tight in binding, hardly a trace of shelf wear other than gentle bumps to spine ends and another to the fore edge resulting in a tear to the edge of one page, front cover and spine lettering in different shade of red clear and legible, tiny spot of glue on front cover from ancient price sticker, tiny pen tip hole in spine backing, all pages slightly age toned but very clean and unmarked (no foxing).
