A Newbery Honor book about a turtle's travels from the headwater of the Mississippi River to the Gulf, part of Holling's acclaimed series of geo-historical books. Yellow pictorial cloth, clean and bright internally, in full color dust jacket with minor wear, small chips and closed tear at spine ends (less than 1/4') and edges, and at corners, price intact. Beautifully illustrated in color throughout and containing wonderful facts, drawing and maps of the Mississippi and its environs. Size: 4to. A wonderful tale and copy.
