Illustrated with more than 400 black & white photo reproductions, floor plans and elevation diagrams. With glossary and index. Brown cloth, titles stamped in white on the spine, endpaper maps: leaf edges lightly spotted, else crisp and bright; binding tight. In the color illustrated dust jacket with price intact on the front flap: very light scuffs and soiling. The result of fifty years studying Japanese folk architecture, with drawings and photos by the author. Sections on Basic Features, Structure, and Styles, including how styles and regional variations developed.
Jacket preserved in a removable clear archival sleeve.

All books are packed and shipped within 24 hours of receipt of order. Every book is professionally packaged in a heavy cardboard box and shipped via US Postal Service, fully insured. Shipping rates are $3.50 per book; an additional $1 for every book thereafter. Sets and oversized volumes might require additional postage – indication of such will be noted in the book description. Those orders ship at cost. Other shipping modes are available per arrangement. Institutions will be billed per requirements.
