Yellow cloth boards and spine with black lettering on spine. 224 pp 8vo. Burns gathered all forms of Scottish folksongs and had an entire notebook of bawdy lyrics. This book represents for first time in an unexpurgated, scholarly edition, the most authentic presentation of Burns's texts available. Prodigious research and access to privately owned transcripts have been used to develop this edition. A fresh light on Burns's many-faceted poetic gift.
