New York, Charles Scribner's Sons, 1895, hardcover, lii-422 pp, New and Revised Edition with numerous illustrations, Fair condition, no dustjacket, Vol. I only, Straight, tight and clean with no markings, spine-end and corner wear, front and rear hinges starting but firm, text block edges darkened. The memoirs of Bonaparte by his private secretary: "to which are added an account of the important events of the hundred days, of Napoleon's surrender to the English, and of his residence and death at St. Helena, with anecdotes and illustrative extracts from all the most authentic sources". Illustrated with a frontisportrait drawing of Napoleon I, and portraits of Lettitia Ramolino, The Empress Josephine, Eugene Beauharnais, General Kleber, Marshall Lannes, Talleyrand, General Duroc, and, Murat King of Naples. Appended are prefaces to the 1836 and the 1895 editions and a 10-page detailed chronology of Bonaparte's life.
