NY: E.P. Dutton Book. Good. Hardcover. (1925), two volumes, xxix, 538; xii, 576pp, index, illustrated. The spines of both volumes are badly faded/sunned, extremities lightly worn, first free endpaper missing from volume one and a section of the rear endpaper neatly removed, else G. Requires the shipping charges for two books. The Medicis were the famous Florentine family which came to prominence during the Italian Renaissance, and held sway for almost three hundred years. Their source of wealth was banking and trade, but they were great patrons of art and literature. Among their ranks were popes and two queens of France..
