First edition, first printing. x, 180, [2] pp. Bound in publisher's green cloth and yellow paper-covered boards, spine lettered in crimson. Very Good with soiling and light staining to spine, heavy crease down center; crimped foot. Soiling to boards with light edge wear. Slight creasing down center of spine, top edge stained. In a bright Very Good+ unclipped dust jacket with light fading to spine, minor toning; patch of asphaltic staining to front flap at bottom right edge. The Pulitzer Prize-winning author's only novel for adults.
