About This Item
New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 1934. Hardcover. Very Good/Good. Knopf's 1934 omnibus edition of Undset's tetrology of medieval Norway, in dust jacket. The jacket identifies Undset as the author of Kristin Lavransdatter and winner of the Nobel Prize in 1928, with the front flap devoted to a pen sketch of "Sigrid Unset at Home". Wear to the fragile jacket, with loss to the head of the spine and the corners, split to the lower front joint. Now in a protective cover. Slight fading and scuffing to red cloth cover; previous owner's name on the front fixed endpaper (Dagmar Edwards). The jacket promises 1260 pages on thin paper.
