About This Item

UK: Thomas Nelson & Sons. Hardcover. Very Good. 16mo - over 5¾ - 6¾" tall. Three volumes from one of the many incarnations of Nelson's Classics series, this from around 1950. Matching volumes with cream-coloured boards, gilt decoration to spine and deep green spine labels with stamped gilt titles. Upper text block edges sprayed blue. All with original glassine wrappers. 16mo. Very few marks on boards. Internally all bright, crisp and clean. Glassine wrappers a little chipped and soiled; that on The Black Arrow has minor loss on front panel and significant loss on rear panel; that on Master of Ballantyne has scratched nick on rear panel. Glassine wrappers are a rare survival as these were often discarded by buyers and are fragile. A very nice vintage set.
