London, Nisbet & Co. Ltd. 1922 2nd ed. Hardback. Tall 8vo. 9 x 5.5 ins. In blue full calf leather binding, gilt lettering and raised banding to spine. Gilt line edging to boards. All page edges gilt. Plain endpapers. In very good condition. Corners and spine slightly rubbed at ends. Spine faded. A couple of light scratch marks to boards. “Bumpus Ltd. Oxford St.” binders stamp to edge of front board. A couple of very light spots to endpapers. Slightly darkened on corner of front tissue guard. Else a very clean and tight copy. - Each chapter describes "a string of places, within the compass of a reasonable day’s walk, in which some remains of the epoch dealt with are still patent. ". A look at Dorset. The author describes an aspect of Dorset history and gives a suggested walk. 352pp. Illustrated with 8 b&w full page plates.
