Tokyo: Published for Nippon Gakujutsu Shinkokai by the Iwanami Shoten, 1940. Third printing, 8vo, pp. lxxx, 502, [4]; 5 maps, one folding; full green cloth, gilt title on spine; light shadows on endpapers, else fine, in very good, edge rubbed dust jacket. With a manuscript inscription tipped in to endpaper, appearing to be a transcription of a waka by Ueda Akinari, followed by an ink mark "Yasuda." Also on endpaper is a later, separate ownership signature, "'Tom' Watanabe."
