A bibliomystery featuring Ned Spearbroke, New York literary agent, searching for a missing, perhaps murdered, author and his equally missing political expose' manuscript. At the same time another writer is found dead, Spearbroke's offices are ransacked and his assistant brutally killed. Edges of text and end pages are slightly foxed, o/w boards and text are clean, tight, square; dustjacket shows a tape-repaired (on verso), half-inch tear and crease on bottom edge of front panel, minor wear at edges and corners. Quite scarce.
