The text is illustrated with black-and-white drawings, some double page, by John C. Davis Junior. Illustrated front cover against a red background with yellow titles to the front panel and backstrip. Minor rubbing and creasing to the book corners and a hint of yellowing to the rear book panel. A few marks to the front fore edge of the text block. A history, of sorts, told in the participants own words of the revolution in Texas between 1835 and 1836. The people in the book are a rough, crude and tough but they left an indelible legacy on Texas history.
