Missing front free endpaper. Book opens with The Battle of Lundy's Lane. The poet was also a Canadian civil servant. As the Deputy Superintendent of the Department of Indian Affairs from 1913-32, Scott was instrumental in making it mandatory for all native children between the ages of seven and fifteen to attend residential schools.
