Synopsis
Alexs Pate has written two critically acclaimed novels, Finding Makeba (Putnam/Berkley) and Losing Absalom, which won the First Novelist Award by the Black Caucus of the American Library Association and a 1995 Minnesota Creative Writing Award for best fiction. Pate teaches Creative Writing and Literature at Macaleser College.
