This is apparently the first hardbound edition (as stated on jacket flap) ; the first edition was published as a serial in 1952 in Discovery and as a Modern Library paperback in 1956. The date to CP is 1952; no date to title page. Signed to half title page by Styron. Black cloth stamped in silver/red gilt to spine, red topstain. Fine condition in slightly shelfworn DJ in mylar. Flap price $3.95.; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; Signed by Author .
