This copy is numbered 12/30 in pencil on the second colophon and VII/X in pencil on the third, which is signed by both Patrick Vernet and Pierre Vernet. A beautiful cookbook, fully lithographed and illustrated with engravings by Patrick Vernet (d. 2013), an accomplished engraver and Director of the School of Visual Arts Denain, with frontispiece illustration by Vernet's daughter Marjolaine. The 3 colophons read as follows: Il a été inprimé 60 examplaires de cet ouvrage sur papier velin pur chiffon Rives Numérotés de 1 à 60 Et 10 exemplaires sur le mêm papier numérotés de I à X pour les auteurs En outre, il a été imprimé 30 examplaires de chaque sujet en marge d'estampe sur papier fait à la main au Moulin de l'Odal à Lille 12/30 Ce recueil, enrichi d'un fontispice de Marjolaine Vernet a été achevé d'imprimer le 9 ocbober 1986 par Patrick Vernet dans son atelier d'artists exemplaire no VII/X "À creneaux" style binding. Polycarbonate boards with PVC spine, sewn with monofilament, and airbrushed with automotive paint. Polycarbonate box airbrushed with automotive paint with title engraved on PVC closure. Although it had a tortuous publication history after Franklin's death, this work has become one of the most famous and influential examples of an autobiography ever written. Franklin's account of his life is divided into four parts, reflecting the different periods at which he wrote them.

This edition is in very good condition internally. Photos of Ikebana arrangements by the famous Japan Ikebana master. A gift given to Julia Jeffers Dodge and placed in her library. 38 single sided (double page but other side blank) on high quality Japan paper with photo examples of Ikebana, black and white. A rare publication.
