About This Item
New York: Atheneum Books for Young Readers, 2013. First Edition. Large Hardcover. Near Fine/Near Fine. 10x0x11. First edition. Two emblems on front jacket panel, The Caldecott Medal and The Robert F. Sibert Honor Book, which indicates a later state of the jacket. Jacket edges very lightly rubbed. 2013 Large Hardcover. Unpaginated. It is the summer of 1869, and trains, crews, and family are traveling together, riding America's brand-new transcontinental railroad. These pages come alive with the details of the trip and the sounds, speed, and strength of the mighty locomotives; the work that keeps them moving; and the thrill of travel from plains to mountain to ocean.
