Book plate of Henry A. Rowland front paste down, with Johns Hopkins Univ. Library "disposed" stamp to book plate and title page. Library label to spine, no other library markings. Henry A Rowland was the first president of the American Physical Society and the first occupant of the chair of physics at the Johns Hopkins University. Book is Very Good, boards rubbed , internally clean, unmarked and tight. Tome I only. . First Edition. Marbled Boards. Very Good/No Jacket, As Issued. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
